About
As a graphic designer and illustrator for Genesis Noir, I was responsible for various visual elements, in-game items, and concept sketches. I worked primarily with the game's signature colors—gold, black, and gray—ensuring that every design aligned with the overall aesthetic. All creative directions were developed in collaboration with the director, and I incorporated existing logos and characters to enhance the game's world and atmosphere.
Design Process
For the photographs that play a central role in the storyline, I began by receiving specific keywords and scene directions from the director, as these images serve as crucial in-game items. Each scene required a minimum of 10 initial sketches, ensuring a variety of compositions. Through continuous feedback and refinement with the director, these sketches were developed into fully realized illustrations that effectively contribute to the narrative.
Design Process
For the UI design, I first analyzed the existing interface to develop a style that complemented it. Noting that the current status window featured a simple square box with a yellow border, I designed the new UI with a bold, eye-catching color while applying shadows and an outer glow to make it stand out from the background. The design process began with various forms and was gradually simplified, incorporating particle animations to draw attention. After discussions with the director, we placed the UI in the bottom-right corner to avoid obstructing the player's view.
